Why forgive?

If you don't let offenders off your hook, you are hooked to them and the past, and that just means continued pain for you. Stop the pain; let it go. You don't forgive someone merely for their sake; you do it for your sake so you can be free. Your need to forgive isn't an issue between you and the offender; it's between you and God.

Encouragement from God today..

"Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has also forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32

Lord, I stand amazed at the example of Your forgiveness. I desire to grow in my willingness to forgive those who have hurt me.

Texts from mom...

When Tyler decided to become a Navy SEAL he asked me to keep him encouraged to follow through in everything even when it was so hard on him, he asked that I tell him that he could make it and not to ever give him a way out. This is what I tried to do in every text message or phone call. God would give me quotes from various places and I in turn would send them to Tyler.
I am so very proud of him, he never gave up!

text to Tyler from mom...

Winston Churchill...

" This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, - in nothing great or small, large or petty- never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy!"

Fighter pilots are told to , "Trust your instraments and not your feelings" Our feelings can decieve us... We must find the instrament that guides us in life without failure..

My text messages to Tyler..

Quote.....
He is truly great in power who had power over himself! The weak mind is irritated by a small thing. The strong mind bears it like a rock!!

Remember you are a child of God and He loves you the way you are. mom

This is true; Winners never lose and losers never win ( this is true because of how each group views itself)

We view ourselves in light of what we believe to be true. If we have a negative belief system concerning who we are then we will act negatively.

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Tyler..I wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again. I thought of you today, but that's nothing new, I thought of you yesterday and all the days before that too! I think of you in silence, I often speak your name aloud! All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. God has you in His arms...............I have you in my heart!! I love you son, Mom

Today I start this tribute to our son, Ronald Tyler Woodle, born October 7, 1983
a beautiful 10lb 2oz, brown eyed baby boy! I think he was born with a smile on his face! Our precious gift from God! He grew fast and was always so very loving and happy as a baby! Such a smart little guy, he was always getting into things and laughing! Ron, his dad, called him "El Destructo"! I remember his laugh so well, he sounded like "Spanky" on the Little Rascals! His voice was deep and raspy and so very cute! There was always lots of laughter in our home with our little Tyler! We dedicated his life to our Lord and Savior when he was 1 year old. He always had a love for Jesus as a little boy. Asking everyone if they knew Jesus as their Lord! Tyler gave his life to the Lord when he was 7 years old, I remember it well, our church was just beginning and we had a special celebration at a Baptist Children's Home. We were beside a lake and it was such a beautiful setting! I even have a photo of Tyler praying that day! Such a special gift from the Lord for us at this time.
