Hard days....

these days are so very hard, we are having to learn to live a different way, one without our son, Tyler, a life with an huge hole in it...

As a mom who has lost a son, I feel very deeply the pain of the mothers and fathers who are losing sons and daughters daily in war. I pray for you all each day that the same God who comforts and keeps me with be your source of comfort as well.

Tyler's SEAL team lost 4 men last week along with 5 Army guys, they are all heros! I pray they are with Tyler now in Heaven where there are no more tears, pain or worries! May God be with you all as you, the families of these heros and all who have lost loved ones to this war on terror, learn also to live a different way!!

Lamentations 3:22-24 His mercies are new each morning, enough for the day, and then we start over.

my baby....

Tyler I miss you so much.......

I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be....

I used to read this book to my children when they were small and it always made me cry, so much so that Tyler would warn Jerica if he saw a copy of it in a store, they were afraid that I would see it and cry. It is the sweetest book and every mom should have one of her own. WARNING everyone I know with this book cries when they read it to their babies! But it is so sweet......

Dear Lord, would you kiss my baby for me today, thanks!
You tube has a video of this precious book, watch it and you will understand!

Wings to fly....

"In your flight, be dogmatically true, obstinately holy, immovably honest, desperately kind, fixedly upright"
Charles Haddon Spurgeon

This is your moment, embrace it, tears of joy will send you off, and smiles of delight
will welcome you back anytime you're ready to come. Keep in mind that if you attempt great things for God, you can expect great things from God, for He will be with you every step of the way.

We all fly in life one way or another. Some to good things, some to great things, and some break their own wings with wrong decisions early in life and never really fly without pain. Thank God for grace it is truly amazing! God can heal our broken wings with His grace and mercy when we seek Him. Then we can truly SOAR!

Today lets all check our wings and see where they are taking us in this life as we travel toward eternity!! My son Tyler found his wings and he flew so gracefully, so beautifully, right into the arms of God and that is where I will see him again! He is waiting for me there and for all who will come to Jesus for their wings!

My Tyler....

I truly love this picture of Tyler. It was taken during Hell Week, when he was training, the hardest week of his life!! This photo shows Tyler's determination, his strength, his heart to be a Navy SEAL no matter what it required of him. He was a very strong man, avery determined man, yet a kind hearted and loving person. A friend of ours, when he prays for our military, prays for the strength of a lion and a heart of a woman, for the men. Our son had these qualities. God blessed us with the most awesome son in Tyler! We are forever thankful for those 26 years together.

Hope and Comfort......

Psalm 119:50 "This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your Word has revived me."

I Peter 5:7 "Casting all you anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."

I Peter 5:10 "After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you."

Psalm 119:76 "May Your unfailing love be my comfort according to Your promise to Your servant."

Psalm 121:1_2 " I lift up my eyes to the hills (mtns.) where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth."

This is where I turn when I can't stand up under the pain and grief, under the burdens, I turn to my Lord and His promises in His love letter to me, the Bible! That is where I find comfort, not from anything or anyone else.
